Hi,
I noticed that the stuff on my ext4-root-partition has grown by more than 20% over the last few month and I'm not aware that I added anything new. Usual requirements have been for years around 10GB.
So, just out of curiosity, did the system miss some housekeeping or does Tumbleweed simply require more space.
One thing we did was refactor some of the patterns, which may have caused some new software to be added in some cases but I doubt 2GB worth, something else may have pulled in other dependencies as well. You didn't install some debuginfo or devel packages for any reason? both are capable of taking up alot more system space without much effort.
Nothing new, except LibreOffice 5.2 instead of 5.3 from Tumbleweed. I want the Libreofffice offline-help. 5.3 is removed as much as possible. So that space is compensated for. But tested from xubuntu I found 1.1G lots of tex-stuff in .../share/texmf. I don't use TeX, is that installed by default? root@xbu-lux:/home/peter# du -t +1G -xHh /vol/openSuse/root_sda1/ 1,1G /vol/openSuse/root_sda1/var 2,5G /vol/openSuse/root_sda1/usr/lib64 1,6G /vol/openSuse/root_sda1/usr/src 1,1G /vol/openSuse/root_sda1/usr/share/texmf 3,5G /vol/openSuse/root_sda1/usr/share 8,8G /vol/openSuse/root_sda1/usr 12G /vol/openSuse/root_sda1/ cu Peter -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org
