I'm also usure if it's maintained at all - that said, I think we really should have a module like that that is regularly tested and well-maintained. In the GUI, it's way easier to check for anomalies (things I may not want to get changed right at this moment like a package being uninstalled from which I haven't fully migrated away yet or an update going to a version that I know still has some problem because I'm reading this list, or similar thing) and to set taboos or do other adjustments to what gets done in an update. Also, if that tool works well, it could also work decently for "normal" users to update between Leap versions.
