Since I was otherwise occupied the last few days I got hit by 0ver 800 packages updated and installed this am! The most serious one, and one I certainly need help with PDQ: # zypper up zypper: symbol lookup error: /usr/lib64/libproxy.so.1: undefined symbol: _ZN9libmodman14module_manager8load_dirENSt7__cxx1112basic_stringIcSt11char_traitsIcESaIcEEEb Which is that? Well.. # zypper info zypper zypper: symbol lookup error: /usr/lib64/libproxy.so.1: undefined symbol: _ZN9libmodman14module_manager8load_dirENSt7__cxx1112basic_stringIcSt11char_traitsIcESaIcEEEb So ... # rpm -qa | grep zypper zypper-aptitude-1.13.19-1.1.noarch zypper-1.13.19-1.1.x86_64 zypper-log-1.13.19-1.1.noarch and # rpm -qf /usr/lib64/libproxy.so.1 libproxy1-0.4.14-2.1.x86_64 Without a working version of zypper I'm not sure what to do about this. Next up. I'm unable to start the GUI except by using 'startx'. That will take a bit of drill down on the logs, so I'll pass on that for now. 'Startx' is sufficing for getting Thunderbird and Firefox running. But when the GUI starts up the initial ("?plasma?") sequebce getting to the lizard-lightbulb on the RHS and from then to the KDE-style panel seems to take a longer time. I don't know if its related but when it gets there I don't see the desktop icons I used to. Instead there's an error message "Unable to create io-slave klauncher said: 'Error loading: /usr/lib64/qt5/plugins/kf5/kio/desktop.so'" # ls -l /usr/lib64/qt5/plugins/kf5/kio/desktop.so -rwxr-xr-x 1 root root 39880 Feb 18 23:30 /usr/lib64/qt5/plugins/kf5/kio/desktop.so # rpm -qf /usr/lib64/qt5/plugins/kf5/kio/desktop.so plasma5-workspace-5.9.2-1.1.x86_64 I'm unclear what the error was and not sure where to find such in the logs. Of course without a working zypper I'm not sure what I can do about any of this. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org
