...how does a regular (i.e. non-root) user install a systemd timer for himself?
Place it in ~/.config/systemd/user or ~/.local/share/systemd/user and run "systemctl --user enable my-own.timer"?
seife@susi:~> systemctl --user enable my-own.timer Failed to enable unit: Process org.freedesktop.systemd1 exited with status 1
Hmm ... bor@bor-Latitude-E5450:~$ systemctl --user enable my.timer Created symlink from /home/bor/.config/systemd/user/default.target.wants/my.timer to /home/bor/.config/systemd/user/my.timer.
Does not look useful.
Besides, does this timer also run if the user is not logged in?
