Hello openSUSE community,
openSUSE Leap 42.2 - Beta3 was just released [1].
I can't remote desktop into Beta 3. I'm testing with the normal Windows Terminal Server Client. I had my 42.2 test machine setup to allow remote access via Xrdp I upgraded to beta 3 a short while ago and now my remote logins fail: When I try to connect: I'm presented with the login screen. After entering my password, I get the start of a KDE desktop setup. I get the swirl which is telling me the desktop will be ready shortly Then my RDP windows client disappears. In /var/log/xrdp-session.log I get: [20161005-18:58:48] [ERROR] env_set_user: error creating .vnc dir At the end of the "journalctl" output I get: Oct 05 18:58:49 Thermaltake checkproc[3017]: checkproc: can not get session id for process 2789! Is this bugzilla time? Thanks Greg -- Greg Freemyer Upset at the Hillary/Trump choice So are Utah voters, Evan McMullin is leading there among voters age 25-34 Vote Evan McMullin for President
This is the last beta before the next milestone RC1.
Thanks to all testers, who have tested, reported bugs and have added their results to our Testmatrix so far. But again please test as much as you can and report all bugs you can find in bugzilla against the Leap Product in the corresponding version [2].
Please have a look at the provided new Beta3 Testmatrix [3] were you can check what is already covered by other testers. Add your name to the list, report bugs or other findings and share your test results. And feel free to extend the Matrix with Testcases/Testscenarios that are of interest for you.
Many thanks and happy testing!
Oliver
