Hi Larry,
I can't see any problem, the kernel modules are up to date for me and I've launched one of my guest OS successfully in VirtualBox 5.0.18_SUSE r106667 after 'zypper dup' to TW 20160508.
I think you have installed VB from some repo other than openSUSE OSS. The Oracle version rebuilds the kernel modules when called. If you use VB from the openSUSE repository, that module rebuild code has been stripped, thus the correct modules must come through openSUSE.
I'm not sure whether this isn't a misunderstanding. The kernel modules, for example http://download.opensuse.org/tumbleweed/repo/oss/suse/x86_64/virtualbox-host... are those I use here, exactly from that repository.
The problem mostly shows up with TW guests. The KDE version will only have a 640 x 480 screen, and X with Gnome will fail to start gdm.
I don't run a TW guest, cannot tell anything for TW guests, just for the host. I have two host: SLES 12 and Windows 7 which come up fine just like before the distribution update. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org
