HI Folks,
Just wanted to let the list know, I decided to fire up an older netbook (MSI Wind) for opening some old documents I had stored there.
It was running TW from April 2015.
So, as an experiment, I ran zypper dup to see if it could cope with such a dramatic difference in versions etc.
Short answer: It worked.
Longer answer, I had to disable one extra repo. It came up on the first reboot without any error messages or visible issues. I still need to do some more in depth testing, but the fact it upgrade so smoothly and without initial issues is a good sign of the cleanliness of our TW packages and QA testing.
Cheers,
Thanks for reinforceing my faith in Tw. -- (paka)Patrick Shanahan Plainfield, Indiana, USA @ptilopteri http://en.opensuse.org openSUSE Community Member facebook/ptilopteri http://wahoo.no-ip.org Photo Album: http://wahoo.no-ip.org/gallery2 Registered Linux User #207535 @ http://linuxcounter.net -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org
