I have a question about the modified branding...During startup the plymouth theme is much more black then before. The blue-ish stripes spreads only about 50% of the screen width. About 25% left and right are simply black. Is this by intention? Should I open a bug and attach a pic of the screen?
That's by intention, should be equal to the Leap boot splash.
Compared to the previous one it has no sharp edges when the image ends, but just 'fafes out' to black - thus making it possible to keep one image for basically every resolution - and you seem to have a rather high res screen if there is so much black left.
"rather high res" is relative ;-) - the bootsplash looks similar to what Robby describes (25% black both left and right of the image, and also black areas above and below) on my full HD (1920x1080) display. I'd say that's quite common nowadays for new displays. So maybe we should deliver a slightly ;-) bigger bootsplash image? Regards, Christian Boltz -- No, you are wrong here.
