Since openSUSE:Leap:42.1 libzypp has been aggressive with desktop applications that provide appdata.xml files along with desktop files. See https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=952324 and it's duplicates. Certain information has to match and the appdata.xml has to be provided along with the desktop files, I don't profess to fully understand them but I do know that these files and proper installation of them is important for a good gui user experience. Could this be included in the rpmlint test in obs to make it easier to pick up problems before they end up as bug reports. The appdata.xml file has to provided and it's name at least has to match it's desktop file name.
