Hi everybody,
In the bootloader global-configuration-tab There was a field named distributor. The string in this field most of the time named "OpenSuse" is gone, i can't find it anymore. This string was used to register a name in UEFI. At installation time the savebootloader failed. The only thing what was wrong was that the bootentry was not written to UEFI. After doing this by hand with efibootmgr the problem was solved.
The only thing I found in leap42.1 My desktop in one day to fully operational !!! A great job exellent. Hans
Hi Hans, distributor entry is removed as now it is generated from /etc/os-release by default and if needed, everyone can change it in /etc/default/grub. So try to have bootloader module simplier. If bootentry is not written to UEFI, please open bug report and include all logs as grub2efi should do it for you.
