Is anyone else getting random screen data briefly splashed on the screen between the login dialogue box closing and the startup splash being shown?
I see this too while using a Nvidia dual head G84 [GeForce 8600 GT] (rev a1) with the nouveau driver. I've got an old nvidia GT218 and using nouveau as well
This also happens quite a lot between logout pressed and redisplay of login dialogue box. It looks like a bit of old screen memory being displayed.
If this can be eradicated, it would make opensuse a lot more professional in its presentation to the user.
Maybe even worse and the display shows some data while login if there was another user active before? yes, it does show data of an old active desktop with some apps like kmail open but it is random and too fast to read
I would report it as a bug but not sure where to assign it.
osc maintainer -e xorg-x11-server -> leads you to Stefan. Hopefully this is the correct list. https://bugzilla.suse.com/show_bug.cgi?id=935447
Please report the bug ID back - best as clickable URL - to this thread.
Maybe those having an eye on the web based forum can add references of the forum thread to bugzilla and vice versa.
Cheers,
Lars
