Funny it is. openSUSE plans to provide just another CentOS (SLE rebuild with Factory packages instead of RHEL/Fedora) but guys are arguing against the distro version! Are you kidding me? 9 month openSUSE releases were best of stable and fresh linux distributions. People decided to get them every year and it became more stable and less fresh. The balance was broken. Then Factory suddenly became cool but rolling distribution. And finally openSUSE releases are decides to be yep just another CentOS. Of course it should be again more stable but also it would provide too old base packages. Now SLE12 is rather fresh distro but it provides old gcc version 4.8 that provides ugly C++11/14 support. Ha you will say, we will add non-default gcc5 but OBS can't really use non-default gcc so it would be useless. Next year none of frequently updating software updates will be provided.
