-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 Dear all, first of two question in regard to systemd. I have to change two existing systemd units (why? see my next mail ;-) ) in a way, that future changes to these units are included automatically, i.e. if an updated version of systemd installs a newer version of the unit. I found some mentions e.g. [1] of a 'systemctl edit' command, which might do exactly what I want: Place a snipped somewhere in /etc/systemd/system/, which gets included into / overrides parts of the unit definition in /usr/lib/systemd/system. This command does not exist on my Tumbleweed machine, maybe this is only available in upstream releases at the moment? If this is the case, can I add these snippets manually? Or is the whole override mechanism also only available in upstream releases (219 vs. 210 on openSUSE)? How to solve this issue? Do I resort to copying the unit file from /usr/lib/systemd/... to /etc/systemd/...? Any help would be highly appreciated. Because I do not find a good M to FR. ;-) [1] https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Systemd#Drop-in_snippets Regards, Johannes - -- [Unbreakable Vows] `Fred and George tried to get me to make one when I was about five.´ [...] `Only time I've ever seen Dad as angry as Mum.
