That's not a new error; just texinfo 5.0 now says so.
but as this is in the postun script of the already installed package,
there is no way to fix it.
The now installed maxima 5.35.1-2.1 has the postun scriptlet fixed (see
https://build.opensuse.org/package/rdiff/openSUSE:Factory/maxima?linkrev=base&rev=19 )
