Hello,
regardless that it seems to be already solved here some background information:
The below background information still raises a lot of questions for me - and probably a lot of other people with openSUSE 13.2/cups 1.5.4.
On 13.2 I have cups 1.5.4. and my HP Color Laser Jet, which worked fine with 13.1 is no longer working.
13.1 also had cups 1.5.4 as far as I can see.
The 13.2 OSS repo provides a 'cups-filters' package, but this package is not installable on a consistent 13.2 as it conflicts with cups < 1.6.
On 13.1 'cups-filters' didn't seem to exist.
Any tips on how to get it working on 13.2? Or would I need to install cups > 1.6 from devel:printing, in order for it to work again?
I have an HP p1606dn B/W laser printer that is working fine under 13.2. The CUPS packages and versions that I have installed are as follows: All are from the OSS repo.
