Something has happened to my printing. I can print test pages from the printer but nothing from my desktop computer.

Can you try $> echo "Test" | lp
echo "Test" | lp lp: Unsupported document-format "text/plain".
Why is text not accepted?
And the solution, How to correct.
BTW: Can not access http://wahoo.no-ip.org/~paka/cups.conf
ah, error here, wasn't others +r but is now :^) and wasn't cups.conf but cupsd.conf http://wahoo.no-ip.org/~paka/cupsd.conf
google search for client-error-document-format-not-supported suggested missing cups-filters: https://lists.debian.org/debian-printing/2014/02/msg00026.html Installed: cups-filters 1.0.58-35.6 libqpdf13 5.1.0-1.4 now Echo "Test" | lp works AND: regular printing now works. Now to complain to inks4less that the drum they sold me doesn't allow color printing (which I seldom use). tks for the nudge :^) -- (paka)Patrick Shanahan Plainfield, Indiana, USA @ptilopteri http://en.opensuse.org openSUSE Community Member facebook/ptilopteri http://wahoo.no-ip.org Photo Album: http://wahoo.no-ip.org/gallery2 Registered Linux User #207535 @ http://linuxcounter.net -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org
