Many users notice performance problems with the persistent live images, particularly in relation to what is needed for them to be persistent. In my personal experience, I can never use them more than once since they will stop working after the first boot. Many other users report incredibly slow booting and horrible performance lag.
Users propose a means to toggle the behavior from GRUB when the Live image is being used. If infeasible, I think we should remove it altogether and instead direct users to roll their own with SUSE Studio.
Isnt it possible to disable it via kiwi_bybrispersistent=no in the boot parameters? - -- Regards, Uzair Shamim -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v2 iQIcBAEBAgAGBQJUToQIAAoJEM66EOTZRH6+ZPYQAICXDK3C7KEftHI8B+EqQL5G F6rkKbR/MetKt4Kx6di8eu1t/nf++iQEQ21tMd6WUUvJUQt+3n9B5VJcc+6sQ6Ye vn5YW/ITa3RfpkJOVKpDCt0GqGtOBpHcrwmVV+DXTC+WrH30thJWKg2T/LLoOA+n 2pTFTMMdXu2UHe99QjXteO+znXu5AMbsRlvSELFfpHptlUf1Mv55H67L9/2yqGXk JNuyVRYzg759ztYyX8OkpIktK9rDo1rgpxLRzJ/Q3pEMynMOMHZGT67g+ZMEOEBv CTuTe0N3fz55EN0WxK3l1rOjil8dfwblsjfmzKfspy8a2xIYOYq6N9H2dUgOamqs C4qN9+yKzVDItPFb3+lu3eqUOL1CiU9g8+4f/vwUlQ94kWNZh/wrLftkJ9FrOGxa GLkYO+WupMkrDfkPWkZLF9h+xBHgAkJctKpanxlH8Ex+di6PD/oWjj1E2bySn6Kg g+cQJmnCE6EFyZUbGoL7HFYvrv8e2trZfAmNjBbDEl/P+9Az1R3kBlwzzNtFnFr2 QSBubA8werh2jSYLRaJnjzS5ISJtRyiVZLXxNRLn/t854A4xPKLOEkLRsp21OpzK +gtjt7BtS4KnrPrRlvcFFhluxVJWYONSRbpdn7G6H+HbQql3eB1EPcQcibT6rM0Z P0aq7cZiW2Hm36FB1KYI =2VlG -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org
