Dear listmates,
In maintaining the Haskell compiler for openSUSE I came across a discussion
on dynamic linking for Haskell. In Haskell ticket 8935
https://ghc.haskell.org/trac/ghc/ticket/8935
a dynamic linker issue is raised that I cannot reproduce on openSUSE 13.1.
Since I know the C compiler and linker gurus read this list, I am posting
here.
So my question is: Do we apply a patch to the system linker that makes to
following program return the correct address (three times the same) for
`environ` in all three calls of dlsym()?
It is not an openSUSE problem, which is good, but an issue on quite a few
other distros. The ticket mentions Ubuntu and CentOS.
Any kind of help is highly appreciated!
Peter
