Is that with Optimus enabled or disabled in the BIOS?
It seem to not matter at all. I tried "Integerated Graphics" "discrete graphics" "optimus" , the all three possible options in the bios for the graphics card. With none of them, I am able to get the other monitor detected with the opensource driver. With the proprietary driver, I was able to get the second monitor detected with "Optimus" in the bios screen but there were other random freezes.
