So let me ask, what specifically would be a reason to rebuild KDE?
The dependancy change causes it to rebuild.
My question actually was "what dependency" (I can't figure it out, sorry). One of the recent KDE rebuilds seems to have been triggered by a kernel rebuild and I still don't see how KDE depends on the kernel.
No, the kernel didn't cause it, I think it was an update to util-linux, which, in the end, almost every package depends on. Same thing with other "core" packages that get updated, like systemd/udev. There's also fun things that happen when packages like e2fsprogs gets updated (Libreoffice ends up depending on that one, go figure...) Hopefully with the "unbundling" that is happening in the Factory rework, some of these dependancy chains will get broken. But openSUSE is not alone in this issue at all, all other distros have the same problems, some solve it in different ways than others... thanks, greg k-h -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org
