Separate from the install-system / live-system initrd, what NEEDS to be in the initrd / initramfs phase?
Can we make a renewed definition, to get a smaller standard?
As it is, mkinitrd runs every kernel update at least, would it that bad to run it during system install / update once?
For most, the host-specific (-H) option would bring a reduction.
Otherwise, Question:
If we tamper with this stuff anyway, please, can we add an option for: non-graphic / text-only boot?
This option already exist.. theme is called "text". Getting rid off Plymouth / other graphic
boot things gets harder every new distro release.
huh ? it is a simple as removing plymouth or booting with plymouth.enable=0 -- "If debugging is the process of removing bugs, then programming must be the process of putting them in." - Edsger Dijkstra -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org
