What error? 12.3 succeeds.
So stop using dd already. Use ddrescue - it's saner in every aspect.
New problem. It is not the standard ddrescue, but gnu ddrescue, which does not include dd_rhelp. And the syntax is different. How do I write a random file of exactly 100 bytes? There are no examples in the man page. Oh, there is an info page... but no examples like what I want. -- Cheers / Saludos, Carlos E. R. (from 12.3 x86_64 "Dartmouth" at Telcontar)
