That leaves us with a ~2 week gap before openSUSE 13.1 RC1 for potential Samba 4.1.0 release slippage, which I'm okay with.
https://wiki.samba.org/index.php/Release_Planning_for_Samba_4.1 has the most up to date roadmap details.
Following http://en.opensuse.org/openSUSE:Roadmap it's time to submit 4.1.0 RC 2 into openSUSE Factory now if we like to get 4.1.0 into openSUSE 13.1 GA.
If there's no objection I'll shift network:samba:STABLE to Samba 4.1.0 RC 2 the next days.
Go for it!
network:samba:STABLE got Samba 4.1.0 RC 2 and the submit request into openSUSE Factory is https://build.opensuse.org/request/show/197338 The systemd unit files are still missing. It would be of some value if someone files a bug report regarding this and assing it to me while taking samba-maintainers in to cc as described in the 'Samba bug reporting and advanced debugging information' section of http://en.opensuse.org/Samba There had been reports that sysvinit files lead to a not started nmbd even if the service was activated. We unfortnately didn't got a bug report to track this nor had I be able to reproduce the issue.
