Hi
I created saltstack salt, salt-api and salt-cloud packages.
Saltstack is a configuration management/remote execution system based on zeromq and python. It is very fast and lightweight and can handle servers in their thousands.
It will be a great addition to puppet/cfengine/chef/ansible packages, to have some choice.
The packages are already in devel:languages:python and the only depency not met in factory is python-apache-libcloud. This package is also build in devel:languages:python.
You can just submit the package to Factroy, the source project maintainers will get a review.
I have spoken with both upstream developers, of saltstack and apache-libcloud and they don't mind if I package these for opensuse/suse/sles/sled.
Its always nice to notify upstream, maybe they would want to provide some links to the OBS packages. I would very much like to see salt in Factory.
Regards, Niels Abspoel
