I miss live-cd :(
i don't understand! if you want a live CD just download the flavor of your choice from http://software.opensuse.org/
or, did i miss something??
The live-CD is no longer a CD, but you need to burn it on a DVD, because it is 1 GB. Maybe Daniele does not have the possibility to boot from USB or DVD or is unable to burn a DVD.
I changed the wiki page, but it needs approval.
Well, 4 PCs and only one of them can boot from usb and for two only cd- rom :(
Now I' m upgrading an old notebook (700Mhz -256 Mb Ram) (now with opensuse 11.2). For this kind of hardware, installing the live image from boot is the best solution..
For the fix: replacing $(arch) with `uname -i` is working here (i386).
Daniele, As long as the old computer has an i686-class processor, the Live media will work. I have one old notebook that I use for testing various PCMCIA hardware that is only i586. For it, I need to use the NET install CD. Larry -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org
