[01-22-13 11:54]: updated this morning and kde is unusable, cannot access taskbar.
Created new user, logged in and can see/use taskbar. reconfigured taskbar to hide, taskbar hides but mouse will not raise it.
Ping.
Is there no comment here?
Situation has not changed, cannot access hidden taskbar. New-User comes with operable taskbar, but aftter setting to *hide*, taskbar cannot be raised/accessed.
I've had occasional problems for many years with not being able to raise the task-bar. I usually had to log out and in again or reboot to clear the problem. However, this one sounds slightly different. I recall that one could specify how to raise the task-bar and one option was to move the cursor to a corner of the screen rather than the edge. I also remember getting the problem you have because I then forgot I'd made the change. There is a key combination that will raise the bar - which I've forgotten - but using ctrl-F(n) will switch windows and, at the same time, should raise the task-bar.

The versions I have are 4.9.98-846.1 for the first and third items; the second is the same. I have not had task-bar trouble - yet.
AND some gnome pkg keeps pulling in foreign (to me) "bundle-lang-gnome-XX" packages ???
Again, something that occasionally has happened to me over the years and I'm darned if I recall how to stop it.
