Check Users you want to use VirtualBox have the proper permission or they are included in Virtualization Users Group.
YaST2 has a nice Graphic User Interface to manage Users and Users Group. After add the proper user to Virtualization Users Group you may need to reboot.
Hope this could help you.
Yea, I'm in the vboxusers group. I can't boot to the CD on my computer, either, 32- or 64-bit. Tried on an older pentium box and could only the text login. The only thing that's at least partly worked is installing a VM to init 3, but I can't switch to init 5 from there. I guess I'll wait and check M1.
