Ilya This is very likely an error in configure. Or do you REALLY mean to build anything gnome 1 like? You'll be on your own: for about the last 12 years, glib1 and has been buried and superseded by glib2 (which is called glib-2.0 in pkg-config language). To my knowledge, glib 1 did not even ship with a .pc file, which would indicate clearly that, what configure meant, was actually to look for glib-2.0. You'll have to patch your configure.ac and rerun autoreconf. Mond though: as this seems to be a VERY old package, there is a VERY, VERY good chance that recent glib APIs will not completely conform to what this package expects.
