The same should have been the case regarding the rpm macros Well, the macros are to help packagers and Jens Petersen of Redhat, who is
I started a new page in the wiki that explains the most basic packaging which worked for me most of the time packaging 100+ Haskell libraries: http://en.opensuse.org/openSUSE:Packaging_Haskell My adaptations were * fixing issues with SLE because their rpm is too old and * following openSUSE packaging guidelines (no version numbers in documentation directories and different names for RPM package groups). I shall add those facts to the wiki page soon. the author, took over maintainership of upstream Hackage project cabal-rpm. Cabal-rpm is a Haskell program to generate spec files using those macros.
