just to be clear... the problem is not automount... I do not care and I do not 
use it... the problem is that dolphin/device notifier do not present the usb 
devices to be mounted.... the system at lower level sees them: (the only 
exotic thing on this machine is the fact I installed 12.2 with lxdm and them 
duped to factory and then installed kde --all clean confings)
