lightdm + lightdm-gtk-greeter went into Factory more
ago and have been the default display manager for the Xfce desktop since 12.1. It has full sysconfig and XDM/GDM- compatible script support so I suppose it is as well integrated as GDM or KDM, at least if you refer to the Factory package

Very nice... I assume then it's available in 12.2 also. What's the entry for /etc/sysconfig/displaymanager ?
