I have been conversing on Bugzilla about the possibility of resurrecting the Grub1 and Grub2 rescue module. And the interest is there. Just not now due to the workload for the 12.2 release.
BTW There are a few scripts that were posted that can fix Grub created by users. If they can write them than openSUSE can.
