Sorry Carlos, you've pointed that out to me before but this old brain forgets.
After several install attempts I finally have a 12.2-ß1 working with all the
directories intact. The installation that finally succeeded was to not select any
packages from the NET device and install desired packages via "Desktop
Configuration".
