I am trying to find some set of zypper commands that reliably cause a failure when running under 12.2. So far no success.
Yeah, I've seen those seg faults, too, and I was trying to debug them yesterday. It looks as though the modalias list is getting corrupted somehow, sometimes. But I didn't find the bug yesterday, and now I can't reproduce it at all, either because I updated zypper (my binary is dated May 28, but I can't remember when I installed it) updating my repositories somehow caused it to stop appearing, or something else... Valgrind would sometimes crash on a failed assert and suggest that it may e caused by heap corruption in the program I'm debugging, and that I should fix any invalid writes that it reported, but it reported no invalid writes. Anyway, the first seg fault would happen when an item's "next" pointer pointed to invalid memory, and the other one (on exit) would happen when freeing the modalias list. -Mike G- -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org
