I am about to collect the new bits for a 64-bit system I am building and am therefore thinking of downloading the 86_64 DVD of 12.1 (which will take me some 10 hours to download).
My question is: will there be a *delta* upgrade from 12.1 to 12.2 available when 12.2 will be released? This was the case some versions back of oS but will this occur for 12.1>12.2? You can do zypper dup to get from 12.1 to go to 12.2. There is no delta iso download available, which we offered for older milestones - and

Hi Basil, Typically I'll use zypper dup using the factory repos.
Some of my installs started out with 11.0 Milestone 1 and zypper dup has taken them all the way through to the current 12.2 Milestone 3.
A few days ago with factory at 12.2 Milestone 2, I used the 12.2 Milestone 3 DVD to do an upgrade and later switched back to using the factory repos and did a zypper dup. Regards Sid.
Thanks Sid for this. It would be nice if you could give the list of the repos you actually use as I get very much confused by the jargon used to describe the repos which need to be used. The "zypper lr -pu" would be very nice :-) . BC PS I collected the bits, based on your advice, earlier today and will be putting them all together tomorrow: 8-core AMD, 16GB of Corsair "Vengeance" 1866MHz RAM, 750watts Antec psu. I went "all the way" and so the whole thing will be a complete new system with no recycled bits from the current system. -- A lie gets halfway around the world before the truth has a chance to get its pants on.
