Can somebody explain me the logic behind this supplements? Not sure what a "32bit plugin" is in this case. And if that "plugin" requires of samba-client-32bit, shouldn't its package have that dependency? Right now every x86-64 user that installs samba-client will be recommended to install also samba-client-32bit.
The samba-client-32bit Package contains just /lib/libnss_wins.so.2. AFAIR the nss stuff is a bit special, cause there's just one nss config shared by the 32bit and 64bit glibc. Thus if you configure the system to use libnss_wins and run a 32bit program that uses nss, it'll fail if samba-client-32bit isn't also installed.
