[04-22-12 05:45]: Tumbleweed started to update packages to KDE4.8.2, but this version seems to only partially build. For instance, kdebase4 is only available as a source package for version 4.8.2. Can somebody please check what's going on? I really don't want to wreck my installation with a mixed KDE install if possible.
I did the update to kde4-4.8.2 and have no 4.8.1 vers resident now....
Hmm. This is what I see right now:

kdebase4-session does not install with dup, but I've tried to explicitly install it on my test machine and it seems to work. All the other packages that zypper wants to update to 4.8.2 are "noarch", could it be that there are no i586 packages in Tumbleweed?
Well, your example shows no x86_64 packages. My listing is quite different, see: http://wahoo.no-ip.org/~pat/zypper.kdebase4.txt My desktop box does quite well with 4.8.2, but my laptop acts as if it was running in syrip :^(. I have reverted to openbox-kde which acts quite well. I don't even know what to report as buggy. Perhaps Greg KH will notice, he reads here. If not tomorrow afternoon I will copy this thread to him direct. -- (paka)Patrick Shanahan Plainfield, Indiana, USA HOG # US1244711 http://wahoo.no-ip.org Photo Album: http://wahoo.no-ip.org/gallery2 http://en.opensuse.org openSUSE Community Member Registered Linux User #207535 @ http://linuxcounter.net -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org
