When using your supplied patch: patch_nvidia_295_40.run_for_3.3+ for NVIDIA-Linux-x86_64-295.40.run
"sh ./NVIDIA-Linux-x86_64-295.40.run --apply-patch ./patch_nvidia_295_40.run_for_3.3+"
I get: NVIDIA-Linux-x86_64-295.40-custom.run
and: sh ./NVIDIA-Linux-x86_64-295.40-custom.run -a
yields:
ERROR: Unable to build the NVIDIA kernel module.

tks for your help
The 295.40 driver installs without the need for any patches. Simply do the usual 'sh NVIDIA*.run'.

I've also installed the 295.40 driver without the patch.
Is that with kernel 3.4, or with an older one? Please be specific. Larry -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org
