If you look at the bug, the maintainer tried to reproduce the bug, and did not manage to reproduce it. That is all. He uses English language openSUSE where the repositories only have English names. In Russian language edition official repositories have Russian names. When updating such repositories the previous lines get eaten. This also happens with sufficiently long English names, I think.
Ilya, This whole thing is getting out of hand. You are using the 12.1 version of openSUSE which is fully in Russian - correct? When *YOU* try to use zypper in the *Russian* version of *12.1* you get the "lines being overwritten" - correct? Your friend is using the fully *English* version *11.4* of opeSUSE and NOT 12.1 and s/he is having no problems with using zypper and therefore the lines are not being overwritten - correct? You do not want to upgrade your friend to 12.1 because *YOU* who is using the Russian version of 12.1 is having the problem with lines being overwritten when using zypper (and you don't want openSUSE to look bad) - correct? Now, the only person who has a problem with zypper and overwitten lines is YOU who is using the Russian version - correct? Is this correct: you would like to upgrade your friend to openSUSE 12.1 of the *ENGLISH* version - correct? I am using the fully English version of 12.1 and I am not having this problem, and I use zypper at least once a day. As a matter of fact, I am currently running Milestone #1 of v12.2 wihtout a glitch in zypper. What makes you think that by upgrading your friend to 12.1 that s/he will have a problem with zypper?
