Hi,

I just had a look at

https://bugzilla.novell.com/report.cgi?x_axis_field=version&y_axis_field=product&query_format=report-table&classification=openSUSE&product=openSUSE+11.3&product=openSUSE+11.4&product=openSUSE+12.1&format=table&action=wrap

and saw that our 12.1-Beta got a good deal more bug reports than
11.4-MS6 or 11.3-MS7, so the renaming could have improved awareness of
this release as one of the most important points for testing.

Maybe openQA also had it's share.
