Same here using the head standard kernel which is at 3.3 rc5. I switched
to the factory kernel which is 3.2.0 and closing a window crashed X no
crashes with the 3.3 kernels I have been testing
Maybe most of the crashes where fixed with the 3.3-rc5 kernel, but I have been
using the kernel from HEAD along. I got the crashes when running the 3.3-rc4
kernel, but now that I am running the 3.3-rc5 kernel, I am still seeing the
issues with konsole, gnome-terminal, etc.
So for me the kernel might have solved some issues, but definitely not all.
