Ok, this can be correct. KDM will only start in runlevel 5 and KDM is taking 
care of stopping Plymouth.  I have to check with Frederic Crozat to see if I 
can put something specific for rl3.  

But why are you booting into rl3  and not in multi-user or rl5 ?

And plymouth was running on vt7 and KDM became active on vt8 ? Was this a 
direct boot into rl5 ?
