I've had Dell and Lenovo laptops. I'll probably never buy anything but Lenovo again. They rock. Thinkpads especially. I never control the fan manually, the EC (embedded controller) takes care of that. Make sure you use the latest BIOS. My T520 with a mid/high-end i7 runs at 114F most of the time, nearly silently, with outstanding battery life. Outstanding, A+, would buy again. :-)
That is the model that I was just looking at recently. However, it would be nice to see them offer a screen resolution of at least "1680x1050" by default.
Can you control your fan and other multimedia keys?
My volume keys (and mute) work. I don't have any other buttons. I don't control my fan manually. -- Jon -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org
