I somehow ended up with kernel-desktop-3.2.0-3.1 rather than 3.2.0-2.1. I see that 3.2.0-3.1 is no longer available and 3.2.0-2.1 is along with the kernel-devel package. I am rm'ing 3.2.0-3.1 and installing 3.2.0-2.1 which should satisfy my system reqmt's.
sorry for the noise and tks for attention.
If it was noise them I'm the one to be sorry, I started it...
Don't understand how I got 3.2.0-3.1......
I'm guessing you did it the same way I did: by Zypper dup.
Yes, that's true. I'm sorry for not stating more distinctly my question. I *know* that I downloaded 3.2.0-3.1 but do not know why it was available and then replaced by 3.2.0-2.1, or whatever transpired to effect this change. I now have 3.2.0-2.1 kernel-desktop and kernel-devel and am able to update vbox and the nvidia binary. just wondering...... must be advanced aging or DosXX :^) -- (paka)Patrick Shanahan Plainfield, Indiana, USA HOG # US1244711 http://wahoo.no-ip.org Photo Album: http://wahoo.no-ip.org/gallery2 http://en.opensuse.org openSUSE Community Member Registered Linux User #207535 @ http://linuxcounter.net -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org
