Indeed, that's a big advantage.

You can perfectly verify that the *.service file has

ExecStart=/usr/bin/start-foo-wrapper

and not

ExecStars=/usr/bin/start-foo-wrapper

Yes, and verify if /usr/bin/start-foo-wrapper exists either on the package or in the installed system.
