Interesting that any discussion always revolves back to systemd. Might I
add another category:

- Hordes of unfixed bugs, many of them so major no production environment
with a risk manager will dare even try this thing in its current state.

Cristian asked for bug numbers not polemic and useless statements.

Can't speak for other people, but here's the list of *my*
reported/followed, still open bugs:

On the novell bug tracker:
737547 automounter doesn't mount nfs shares
737553 rpc.idmapd not started automatically
737636 network is started then stopped right away
737690 systemd does not honour SIGPWR
738604 systemd corrupts disk and dumps core when ntp is started
737551 rpc_pipefs not mounted even though NFS_START_SERVICES="yes" and
RPC_PIPEFS_DIR="/var/lib/nfs/rpc_pipefs"
737554 Boot output isn't directed to the console
If people were half as busy fixing those bugs as they are discussing the
pros and cons, systemd might be a half-decent beta product already.

what do you expect ? instant bug resolution ? the older bug of that
list has been filled one week ago...

I think you have to check out your expectations.

I didn't address you. It's the same endless discussions on the fedora
list, and in particular I meant the redhat bug tracker, there are open
bugs dating back to 2010. In particular the UsePAM ssh issue and the fsck
issues are still unfixed, as I've showed with my 738604.

This is more than disappointing seeing as the system overall isn't that
complex and redhat has 6 guys man-power. To me this clearly indicates
poor design.
