You are joking!? Are you 100% sure that the links were the same as before.
Yes. A find|xargs ls -l.... showed that the only difference was the time of the links. The name and the targets were the same. We had a lengthy debugging session on this and were almost going to file a Service Request. But then we "solved" it with the "recreate all links" voodoo.
So you are telling us that something like this fixed your problem. cp -r /etc/init.d /tmp rm -rf /etc/init.d mv /tmp/init.d /etc
No, we did remove only the links and recreate them, all with insserv/chkconfig.
If this was the case then I would say you've had some serious issues on that machine beyond any init system.
There are thousands of those images deployed here and one showed that issue. Nothing else was bugged. It was a bug. Period. Bugs exist also in SysV init. And it was impossible for us to debug. -- Stefan Seyfried "Dispatch war rocket Ajax to bring back his body!" -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org
