Hi,
Is there an ETA on the RC2 repository? Right now there is only an iso directory, and updating from the iso gives me too many apps that get removed because they aren't on there. To do a real update, I need the full repository
When I updated to the betas, I used factory oss and non-oss to get all packages, but I hear this is no longer possible since factory has opened up and is moving to 12.2, so I really need the 12.1 RC repo to update I'm confused since I got 1200 new packages when I did zypper dup last night and had rc1 before. I was pretty sure I was getting rc2? My zypp is setup for distribution/12.1 which seems to forward to http://download.opensuse.org/factory-snapshot/repo/oss/
Does it? I don't see download.opensuse.org/distribution/12.1 at all. I see distribution/12.1-RC2 but it only contains and iso directory, not a repo
Yes, it does. This is what I was asking a few days ago since there is indeed no download.opensuse.org/distribution/12.1 repo.
Someone on this list mentioned the other day that factory had moved on and was no longer 12.1, so I'm a bit worried about doing a zypper dup right now :)
I think it was coolo who said that 12.1 was split off of factory and factory is moving on to 12.2. I don't think that you have to be worried. The question you have to answer yourself is, what do you want? If you want to stay with 12.1 then use this repo: download.opensuse.org/distribution/12.1 If you want to move on to 12.2 then use factory.
