"0: acer-wireless: Wireless LAN
Soft blocked: yes Hard blocked: no" There you go. Your wlan is blocked and the block can apperently not be removed by networkmanager And if you had read the bug you would have found that they suggest a fix:
sudo rmmod -f acer_wmi sudo rfkill unblock all
Also blacklist acer_wmi as root
echo "blacklist acer_wmi">> /etc/modprobe.d/blacklist.conf

I've done that and no difference.
Also, I've once again booted from the Live CD. When I go into Network Devices, after setting it for the traditional Ifup method, on the overview tab, I can see the "Ethernet Network Card" and "Realtek WLAN controller Not configured" listed. When I run the installed version, the Realtek WLAN controller is not listed at all. Even if I manually try to add a wireless adapter and enter the appropriate module to load, I still have no WiFi. Dmesg shows the rtl8192ce modules are loaded. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org
