I'm a little late responding, but it works for me on an upgrade from b1 on
an acer 5520 lap x86_64. Upgrade was "zypper -v dup"
Only problem I have noticed besides non-working synaptiks is miss-config
of wlan0 power option causing no wireless connection and editing
/etc/sysconfig/network/ifcfg-wlan0 allows connection by ifup.
/NetworkManager does *not* allow wlan configuration!

Okay, I officially declare my 12.1 RC1 installation as broken. Today,
I wanted to do a system update and zypper doesn´t work either. SO, I
guess, the problem is that the update from Beta 1 to RC1 failed. I´ll
download a fresh KDE live CD of RC1 today and will install it over my
current 12.1 and test it again.
I guess the thread can be closed now.
